James has finished the main roof and capped it off with ridge tiles, a great job. Still the gable and kitchen to finish off.
Jonny and me put the floor down in the loft and made the gable ladders, just need to close up with insulated plasterboard.
Sarah attached the main room for a day and removed old plaster ready for repointing.
I have prepared the windows to receive the aluminium warm core windows which are coming soon.
The biggest job was placing higher lintels in the loft doorway and cutting out the old lintels to give 2.1m at the doorway.
We have finished concreting over the sewage pipe.
We are just about to order insulation for the floor and insulated plasterboard for the vaulted roof.
New lintels in place and then had to cut out 600mm below for new doorway
Loft doorway cut out - dirty work took a lot of effort with the Kango and big disc cutter- just got to make good.
Finishing off concreting over the sewage pipe- Robin dug it out in an hour and it took 26 barrows to fill it to 200mm with mesh over the roadway
